CHERYL

DIRECTOR

Allow us to introduce our director, Cheryl! With over 25 years of experience in the hair industry, Cheryl is passionate about diversity, dynamism that the industry brings and above all else, making her clients content. As evidence of her dedication, Cheryl is always striving to educate herself and her team on the latest trends and techniques, backed by notable accomplishments such as becoming NZ Hairdresser of the year in 2016 and attaining the status of a Wella Master Color Expert in 2022.
 
“Our emphasis is on enlightening guests and discovering solutions to their hair needs – whether that is styling their hair at home, suggesting on face shapes, tending to scalp issues or addressing hair loss concerns. We are proud to maintain an open dialogue that permits us to provide an enjoyable hair journey.”

“In my downtime, I’m wrangling 3 children. I like podcasts and audio books. I make a mean pork curry in the kitchen and love a sneaky wine with lunch on a Monday with girlfriends.”

PRINCIPAL STYLIST

Introducing Jo! A Swedish native and BLONDE specialist, she is renowned for creating dazzling, glossy colour and perfecting a range of magnificent blondes, ranging from lived-in to bright and luminous.

“Putting a smile on someones face has always been something I enjoy and to be able to do that while creating that personalised colour or cut is really the perfect combination.”

“In my downtime, I apply my creativity to small DIY projects around the house. When my brain needs a break, I like to watch a Netflix series, cuddle my puppy and listen to music or a podcast.”

EMILY

SENIOR STYLIST

Em is thriving in the collaborative environment of learning with her team while fostering meaningful relationships with her clients. Specialising in lived-in blondes, from sun kissed hues to bright, old-money tones, she is dedicated to making every client feel truly listened to and cared for. Em believes in creating a personalised hair journey, ensuring each person leaves the salon with a look that aligns with their vision and lifestyle.

Inspired by strong, influential women like her mother, Ariana Grande, and Coco Chanel, Em brings creativity and warmth to everything she does.

When she’s not at work, Em is likely belting out her favourite tunes. She also loves shopping for thrift items to adorn her own look. Her favourite part about hair is how it allows people to express themselves; something she strives to do through her own locks!

ANNABELLE

EMERGING STYLIST

Annabelle has an undeniable talent and passion for hair, makeup and fashion.
 
She has further refined her abilities by pursuing a degree in makeup artistry. Then, inspired to add even more to her portfolio, she chose to explore the art of hairdressing. Every day, Annabelle looks forward to the time spent in her workplace, working alongside her fabulous team of females. She loves the feeling of learning something new and watching her abilities expand.
 
 
Annabelle has certainly made impressive progress during her time at Beau, we are thrilled and proud to watch her development.

EMMA

APPRENTICE

Driven by a passion for creativity and hands-on work, I was inspired to pursue a career in hairdressing, finding it to be an incredibly fun and rewarding path. At Beau Gordon, my favorite aspect of the job is the wonderful team and our amazing clients, creating an environment where everyone learns from and supports each other.

I particularly enjoy mastering techniques like blow waving and curling, constantly striving to progress and acquire new skills during my apprenticeship. Among the various hair products I use, Luxe Oil stands out as my favourite due to its delightful fragrance and the soft, silky texture it imparts to the hair.

For anyone considering a career in hairdressing, my advice is simple: give it a go. It’s a vibrant, creative industry where you can truly express yourself. Outside the salon, I cherish my time reading, and spending quality moments with my family and pets, which keeps me grounded and inspired.

Kat is a passionate hairdresser, known for her dedication, hard work, and infectious energy.

She has a true passion for hairdressing and loves the creativity and transformation that comes with every service. Kat is especially confident in all aspects of colouring, with a particular love for blondes and vivid tones.

Kat’s passion for the industry fuels her commitment to continuous learning as she completes her apprenticeship, ensuring each client leaves the chair feeling their best. She thrives in a dynamic salon environment and is excited to be part of a supportive and welcoming team.

I had a wonderful experience at Beau Gordon Hair yesterday. Jo listened to the struggle I was having with my hair, the brassy tone and dry ends and she transformed the colour of my hair to a beautifully blended colour and fresh feminine long cut.
